Morning

Quite nasty outside today which has given me Sunday taking it easy catching up on old jobs and cleaning gear which need a good look at. We are receiving some nasty wind and sheets of rain currently which will certainly be doing all fisheries good things. The rivers and river mouths will certainly be worth a look over the next few days as the weather settles. If targeting a big fish is your thing make yourself available over the next few days and fish the clearing waters, browns will have their defences down.

This week on the river has again been a memorable one with plenty of fish seen and some very nice browns caught in the usual places, those who know the rivers will see and know where I have been hanging out. Some reports say the rives are quiet, which they are if you were looking for easy to catch rainbows but those who spent time in the right areas and targeted browns eventually should have fooled a few. Anglers with open minds and patience will do ok especially when changing rigs and being careful not to whip the water to a froth. The benefits can be seen on the joy of these last clients pictures, not many fish but certainly some to remember.

Many of us will be getting ready for quite an exciting few months ahead. We have the ‘ROAR” in less than a few weeks, duck season fast approaching and spawning trout running the rivers very soon. Looking forward to all these as I have a few days up my sleeve to enjoy the things that I think about while at work. I know, got it pretty good really. I look forward to hunting with my Dad and the next few years teaching my son how to fish, hunt and gather while enjoying being outside in uncomfortable conditions at times. Learning good values and seeing where food and healthy living come from is important to me.

Tight lines guys

Andrew
